North Tolsta Historical Society

About

North Tolsta Historical Society was re-established in 1999 after a period in abeyance.  In 2000, they renovated premises in North Tolsta which is now their base.  Although not a formal museum, the premises are open by appointment to view the archives held. 

The society publish a quarterly newsletter, “Seanchas”, and publications such as croft histories, bàrdachd, “Tolsta at Work and Play”,  and a photographic CD-ROM of photographs of the village.

  • Records of Donald MacDonald, local historian, including letters from families of Tolsta emigrants recounting their stories
